CMM Retrofits
For manual and servo driven machines we are proud to offer CMM-Manager
developed by Integrated Quality out of Columbus, OH.  CMM-Manager is a
great choice for retrofitting Sheffield manual and DCC machines. If you are
looking to upgrade your MP 2, MP 3, MP 4, Smart Terminal, OFI/FLB
system, Sheffnet, Direct Inspect or MeasureMax system take a look at
CMM-Manager. Compared to other retrofits available, CMM Manager will
save you thousands of dollars in normal retrofit costs.

There are many things to consider when retrofitting a CMM. You want a
provider with years of experience on your particular CMM. The provider must
consider all the variables involved in retrofitting the machine which includes
accuracy, reliability and functionality. Over the years we have seen many, less
than adequate retrofits out in the field that have been performed by an OEM
and or other third party service. Some of these machines lost error
compensation capabilities due to the fact that the retrofit did not support error
compensation or the party involved in retrofitting the machine did not transfer
the data or error map the machine. At MSI we take all variables into account
to insure you receive the best retrofit money can buy.
MSI’s large facility gives us the flexibility to do in house CMM rebuilds and
retrofits. We even machine some of our own parts to maintain a quick cost
effective solution for repairs. We make many of our own cables and repair and
test a variety of CMM electronics in our ESD protected tech room. Many
CMM’s can be rebuilt cost effectively. Your machine can be completely
remanufactured at our facility rather than doing it in the field (usually not
recommended). If your looking for another CMM please look into our current
Inventory of Rebuilt CMM’s. Call or Email us today!

Renishaw Upgrades
We always offer discounts from list price!
We not only offer Renishaw’s full CMM product line at discounted rates but we
can offer guidance on what may be your best option when it comes to an
application. The type of probe, stylus and configuration can make or break a
CMM’s throughput and accuracy. Our experience working with Renishaw
equipment is quite vast and the key to success is not just purchasing state of the
art products but having a company support the product and provide guidance in
the right direction. As far as current upgrades go, the TP20 probe is a solid
replacement for your TP2 probe. You can use repeatable tip configurations by
changing out the stylus modules manually or you can also use a stylus changer
on DCC machines if your software supports it. Many of you are still using PH9
motorized probe heads and now is the time to consider upgrading it to a PH10
system. In September of 1999 Renishaw announced the obsolescence of all
PH9 systems. So if your budget will allow it, doing it now will offer you cost
savings, reliability and longer extension capability. Need to use long stylus up to
100mm, the TP7 or TP200 systems may provide the answer you need for
accurate measurements. Always remember that the application, environment,
machine type (software) and operator preference should always be factored in
when investing in this equipment. Our years of experience are readily available
with honest advice and help.
